"God of the Valley is written from the author's own experience of grief, through the illness and eventual death of his wife at the age of 36, and also through his pastoral work as a church minister with bereaved families. He writes not as a trained counselor but as somebody who has found himself strengthened and comforted by God even in the darkest times. Beginning with the toughest question of all--"why?"--Griffiths weaves his personal story with reflections on the bible passages that over the years have come to mean the most to him.

The author has compiled 150 firsthand accounts of supernatural experiences and traditional stories from the people of the Pecos Valley.
